TripComments: I have just come back from spending 2 weeks in Egypt - the first week was on the Nile Commodore ! and the second we stayed in Luxor. Reading your accounts your trip sounds EXACTLY like ours - and reminded me of some litte bits and pieces I'd forgotten ! I was totally blown away with Egypt - I've wanted to go there since I was about 10 years old - and at the age of 33 finally made it ! It lived up to all my expectations and will go down as one of the best holidays of my life !

SiteComments: Excellent site ! and very handy as it saved me having to write
out an account of my trip !!

SiteComments: Thanks, I'll be showing your site contents to my husband. We're
in the same situ - "Egypt orientated" wife dragging reluctant hubby along. I
hope it helps to ease his fears for our trip in a couple of months time.

And now, a question ......

We have just returned from a Nile trip on the MS RA11 and visited
Abu Simbel. Have you ANY idea where I could purchase a VHS video on the
reconstruction of the temples? I have tried national geographic without any
success and would like to buy this as a present for my husband as it was the
hightlight of his trip. Any help would be much appreciated.

The video I bought was produced by Image d'Egypte and contains two films: "The Nile of the Pharaohs" and "Abu Simbel, Philae ... saved". It cost LE120 from the Duty Free shop at Luxor airport. The quality is a bit poor, but it's interesting and watchable. You can contact Image d'Egypte at 32, Abdel Azim Rashed, Agouza, Cairo, Egypt. Telephone +202 361 5701, Fax +202 361 4299.
